I don't know a better solution for picture quality outside using Chromecast and encoders.

It must be an affiliate by affiliate decision or rollout? I manage 3 servers, and all 3 (Harrisburg, Asheville, Jacksonville) all do not have DRM enabled as far as I can tell (still accessible). Just out of curiosity, how does one verify that the Fubo Stream is DRM enabled?
I found one easy way to tell, for some reason my Intel NUC and Viotek monitor aren't recognized as being compatible with ABC and ESPN (assuming the HDMI handshake isn't certified or something like that?) when streaming on the web via Fubo. If I switch to CBS, NBC and other stations, works fine.
here is hwat i've found.
If you sign up for Essentials plan and want to use the project, you have to use the Yankees4life version of the docker. The docker exposes the pro/essentials package playlist by default.
If you upgrade to elite, the additional channels wil appear on the site however they won't be exposed in the docker. The jgomez docker won't pull in the playlists.
II setup a new trial and configured the jgomez docker to connect to the account.
all new accounts are set to use playlists located in a different place.
The best plan for using Fubo at this point is to enjoy the essential subscription with vlc-bridge.
I'm stil testing things here.

I've been searching and haven't found it, but does anyone know if there's a guide source for FuboTV via XML? The docker solutions for EPlusTV and Pluto have their own published XML guide, but I don't see that available with this project nor have I found a source on the web.
Just curious, I've been playing around with different combinations of CDVR/Threadfin/Plex & Emby and the only way I can get the FuboTV channels to match is to use CDVR as the back end or use Emby and pull in my local cable company guide and match channels from that guide manually, but they are missing several of the channels that Fubo carries.
No worries if it doesn't exist, just my tinkering bug acting up.

With today's new that Hulu+Live TV and Fubo are merging, I wonder if that spells certain doom for this project? Disney to Merge Hulu + Live TV With Fubo
The Fubo tv Project is already on life support.
The streams on Fubo already have the ability to be encrypted with new streams being deployed with the new technology.

Too early to tell if Hulu + Live & Fubo merger will affect this. As with all mergers, companies have the option to continue using one platform or the other as the standard. I'm not a big fan of either - but if they decide to move Fubo content into Hulu + Live, this project will be effectively dead.
i suspect they will merge into Hulu-- Hulu has a more well known brand name in my opinion
Because it's Fubo's management that's staying in place, I honestly think the Live TV product will go to Fubo and Hulu may drop Live TV eventually and just fully fold into the Disney+ app.
That's my thinking also. This gets the Hulu name to just a tile in D+, and moves the Live TV to another platform,
The largest question with the D+ purchase of Hulu was what was going to happen with the live TV service. This solves that, but with a unified login that allows them to still require D+/Hulu sub for Fubo customers.
Interesting tidbits in this article, both paragraphs surprised me:
The combined company, which Disney will have a 70% stake in, will operate under Fubo's publicly traded company name and be led by Fubo's existing management team. Fubo and Hulu + Live TV have a combined 6.2 million North American subscribers.
Fubo and Hulu + Live TV will still be available to consumers as separate offerings once the transaction closes.
Of course, all of this can change on a dime.
I do wonder what this all means specifically for the tvOS client for Fubo which is the only app that has customizable "MultiView" already in place for all channels. If their merging plans are to court the hardcore sports fans, that’s a major differentiator and a killer feature to preserve.
Now showing 278 channels. I'm sure more DRM is on the horizon. But I just wanted to mention that this docker continues to chug along well for now. Yes, I know this can change at anytime, so I'm just enjoying it while it lasts.
I noticed that it brought in the Fox Sports 4K stream on Sunday for the Super Bowl, in 4K. Various other avenues I had set up, for local DVRing, at least, ended up being in either 1080i or 720p. So that was a pleasant surprise. The picture quality was excellent, no buffering, it was perfect. At least the first quarter, that I watched at home.
And then I drove to my friends' house, to watch the rest of the game with a big group, and in the car I used the "audio only" feature of the Channels iOS app to keep listening, which also worked great.
At my friends place, a crowd was there streaming regular YouTube TV and it was buffering, pixellating, looked terrible, and it was just all kinds of ridiculous. Folks were complaining! Amidst laughter and skepticism I got the host to download "Tubi" onto his smart TV, while others complained this change was making them miss commercials, lol.
When the host got to the Tubi splash screen, he balked at creating an account just to get access to the 4K stream there. The crowd was getting more restless! I thought about getting him to download Channels so I could log into my own DVR, but the clock was ticking. I even offered my own Tubi login, but he didn't want to take more time typing in the email address and password. This sparked a side conversation about how great it is to use your smartphone as a virtual keyboard to enter credentials in cases like this... but by this time, the host had gone back to YouTube TV. Now the crowd was getting angry (!) but then, he paid $4.99 for YTTV's "4K add-on" and tried the stream of the game again. This time it played much better! It didn't buffer at all. And the PQ looked very good. Not as good as the aforementioned 4K stream I'd watched at home via the Fubo TV project, that's still chugging along without active development, with new DRM raining on the parade now and whose future otherwise is uncertain as changes in the streaming industry may fold Fubo's name and/or company into something different... but I digress.

Are you getting 278 on your server with the yankees4life version? I have the elite plan and I am getting 188 channels.
I’m just checked and am currently getting 273 channels. With the yankees4life docker.
Currently getting 213 channels with Yankee4life docker. Elite plan. Harrisburg, PA market.
Sorry, I’m getting 204 with the Yankees4life with the elite plan. I’m assuming that the number of channels is based on area? I did the docker with olive tin.
Is everyone counting Fubo channels from the project docker PLUS TVE channels available w/Fubo.
Or just Fubo channels from the project docker.
