When the change happened, i went in and made sure I could get the stations with Philo and ADB tuner.
I'm using the Fubo project as a property source and the other as a fallback.
Watching Locaks and Paramount and 'tv Land is much nicer on Fubo TV.

For anyone who is subscribed to the Essential or Pro plans, can you tell me if you can get ESPNU via TVE? That channel being on a higher tier is the only thing that's keeping me away from subbing to Fubo. The reason I even ask is for years I was subscribed to a Spectrum plan that lacked ESPNU, but I could still access it via the ESPN app.

In order to get TVE access, you must be on the Pro package.
Essentials doesn't have any access at all.
The benefit of essentials would be the ability to not pay for RSN stations.
I am unsure if the problem is a configuration issue or if the lacking feature is intended.
I'm on the essential package.
EsPN-u i believe is on either Pro or Elite.

Yes, I do get ESPNU via TVE with Fubo.
I do not, however, get it via the VLC portainer for Fubo. Like ABC, FX, and NatGeo, ESPN channels are owned by Walt Disney Company and their streams have DRM.
Another way to incorporate ESPNU with Channels is via the EPlusTV portainer:

I also wonder what that means for the tvOS client for Fubo which is the only version that has customizable multiview. If their merging plans are to court the hardcore sports fans, that’s a differentiator and a killer feature to preserve.

Interesting tidbits in this article, both paragraphs surprised me:
The combined company, which Disney will have a 70% stake in, will operate under Fubo's publicly traded company name and be led by Fubo's existing management team. Fubo and Hulu + Live TV have a combined 6.2 million North American subscribers.
Fubo and Hulu + Live TV will still be available to consumers as separate offerings once the transaction closes.
The biggest news, at least IMHO, is allowing Venu to proceed. The biggest tether most people have to a provider is live sports, and between ESPN's service, and Venu, we may be close to being able to get something that's not from a traditional provider.

I have the Essential Plan. I get ESPN, and ESPN2. I also get a third ESPN channel. In some places this third channel is identified as EspnU and in some places it is identified as EspNews. I get all three via TVE.

Clearly wrong. I have Essentials and get TVE.

Just as a reminder and a “heads up” to anyone new to this conversation: Just because Fubo (or any provider) lists a channel as available on their service, that doesn’t necessarily mean those same channels are available via TVE, or via any docker/VLC project that scrapes their streams.

True about TVE & Fubo TV project channel availability.
I was just trying to find which channels are available in which Package plans and Add-ons.
I just did some detailed checking. I have the ESSENTIAL Plan, but I set up my Fubo TVE in the past when I had the PRO Plan.
When I go to Fubo.tv directly, I have ESPN-NEWS, but not ESPN-U.
However, under TVE, I get both ESPN-NEWS and ESPN-U. I don't know if this is normal, or because I did my setup a long time ago. I could find out more if I deleted my TVE and installed it fresh, but I'm not willing to risk loosing anything I have now.
I have no add-on packages, but I did in the past.
When I was using Fubo (Elite Plan), I was getting a couple TVE channels that weren't in my package also. I didn't complain about it.
