I just came across Galxy TV which is a free online TV provider. Their interesting pitch is they pay you to watch TV and movies, sharing ad revenue with the viewer. They have a linear guide and 39 channels currently. Might be interesting as custom channels in channels, not sure what work would be required to accomplish.
