I've had multiple instances of being kicked out of plackback while watching a recording, different recordings but all recorded from the same channel. Possibly an issue with the video format for that channel?

Same here—Apple TV Beta 4.26.200–while watching the Celtics from a recording, but caught up to live. I did not think about submitting diagnostics. Rather, I switched to the released app and watched it live.
Any idea of whats going on, I'm not on the beta here.
The player shows some errors downloading transcoder segments. We would need to see the dvr logs for the same time period to figure out what happened.
