I'm using an HDHomeRun and I'm seeing green bars like this on certain channels. It shows in the web and and on my iphone and Apple TV like this. Not sure why this started happening (maybe a few months ago). I've been using the Channels App for years without issue.
Ok changing the transcoder to software solved the issue. But why? I'm running Channels on a 2019 mac mini. Is that not good enough?
Hmm you shouldnt need to transcode at all on your home LAN. try setting your clients to direct as well as original for home streaming.
Thank you! I was actually streaming while away from home and I didn't realize that was the reason why this was happening. I changed it to original even while away from home and it works well. No buffering and no green lines!!!
It looks like there's a problem with our hardware de-interlacer on Intel macs right now. You can keep transcoding on Hardware but set the Deinterlacer to Linear to work around it until we figure out what's going on.
