Guide data -any way to change source?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I am new and didn’t find anything in search. Where does the guide get its program information? You know like what the program is about. Is there any way to change the source to get more information like the starring actors names? Something more detailed like on tv guide or YTTV or another site.

That data is already in the Gracenote Guide data used by channels ... It is just not being displayed to the Clients

The source will not matter the developers have to make details available in the Clients.

Ahhh. That makes sense now. Thank you for the information. I have to say it is such a small thing to improve a nice program and take it up a level.
