Guide Data.. Can we set the time it updates?

My guide has been updating for the last couple hours, (Running in a Jail on a NAS) I was curious if there is a way to set the update to happen @ night. Reason is I like having the 'TV' on in the background when I work, well my office has computers and no TV, so I access the server from a computer to watch that way, but seems to pause every few seconds. also the guide is using quite a bit of processor for the guide

If the devs would add a "Never" option to the drop down for "XMLTV Guide Data" options, then one could likely setup cron jobs to do this via API calls like:

Curl -XPUT http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8089/dvr/lineups/XMLTV-Plex

Curl -XPUT http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8089/dvr/lineups/XMLTV-PlutoDocker

etc.

And actually, though I do not know, I wonder if you set refresh to maximum "Refresh Daily" , if maybe the system would see such cron calls to update and if that in turn would reset the internal timer , and then as long as you run such a cron at least daily, if that would keep the internal refresh from running?

What app are you using for playback?

Could you submit diagnostics from the DVR the next time you have this happen to you? The guide processing shouldn't cause your playback to have issues and if it does, maybe there's something we can do to improve it.

Guide update should not take a few hours. Its set to update in the morning, because that's when our guide provider updates their listings.

in this instance, I access the server through my browser. so I am doing web playback. I would prefer an app on my PC /Mac,

I will look to see how to submit diagnostics

my ATVs and apps work fine for playback at other locations in the house

As for guide I read it wrong, it was stating the day /time it was processing when I looked
