Every morning about 9:45, I go to my computer to check email and do other tasks. The machine is always bogged down downloading guide data. Is there any way to have this done at a different time?
Hmmm, I never noticed my guide updating so re-downloaded it just now. I did see a bump in CPU usage, but nothing compared to something like scanning for commercials. If that doesn't bog down your system too, I wonder what might be wrong. But every system is different. My server is old but it's pretty powerful so that might account for the difference. Sorry, I can't speak to rescheduling the download.
I see that too I would like to see a user setting for the time to download the guide.
Channels DVR updates its EPG data every morning at a random time between 09:00 and 11:00.
This cannot be changed/overridden.
Excluding custom m3u sources that can be set to refresh more often, but even those get that update between 9am and 11am.
Thanks for the info, but it seems like an unnecessary restriction.
