Guide data missing TVE

Replaced modem today, upgraded internet service. It’s working fine, no issues. But TVE guide data is gone. Tried delete/rebuild, tried rescanning channels. Nothing. Log suggests internet isn’t activated (it is)…. Any ideas?

I should clarify — Xfinity is the internet provider, but not the TVE provider. The channels tune fine, just no guide data.

Please go to Support -> Troubleshooting -> Submit Diagnostic Logs from the web interface of the DVR and let us know when it's been submitted so we can have a better idea of what was going on.

Done. Logs have been submitted as a6bbed72-aef2-4568-80c5-d3520b2372ab .

Sounds like your cable modem is not providing internet and probably needs a reboot?

That was my first thought, so I went to the channels server and tested things, all works fine, internet is activated.

Wondering if you learned anything from the logs. I have also tried removing the TVE connection and adding it back in. Nothing. It should be noted, this is only TVE guide data that is giving me this issue... when I do a complete "delete and recreate database" the OTA, Pluto, Stirr, and Samsung TV guide data reloads... it's just TVE that won't.

I think it's a bad cache. Try:

rm -rf ~/channels-dvr/data/cache/

No luck. Just did that, confirmed it was all gone before retrying. If I watch the log, it's retrieving the data, but then after it retrieves the data it seems to be looking for the channel logos and that's what creates the Xfinity failure. Once it fails, it won't return guide data or channel images to the server. As before, it's just TVE channels. My guess is that some guide update tried to run during the modem activation and it broke something... but I can't seem to figure out what that something is.

Thanks for your patience, ideas....

Can you paste that message from the log?

Try the guide maintenance option for refreshing logos

Well, going into the master log was an exercise in crazy. The log has blown up from about 70k lines two days go to 22M lines now. It seems to be throwing about 2.5 million lines of log every time it updates. I've tried to find the specific line, but couldn't easily do that (the log is now 2.2 GB in size). So went in, renamed the log hoping it would recreate a new one that I could more easily navigate... of course, it rewrote the old log. But, somehow, somewhere, it fixed things. I wish I knew.....
