Guide data missing

Both the normal ATV app and the beta say unknown for most of my channels. DVR is 11.01.2252.

Do you see guide data on the DVR web UI?

No, it has one channel and that’s it.

Check the Log tab and see if any errors were shown when it tried to download guide data last.

Then go to the Settings tab, and click on the little circle refresh icon under your HDHomeRun. This will re-download guide data.

A reboot of the NAS seems to have fixed it but here is what the logs were saying when I tried to update the guide.

So now you are seeing guide data on the DVR web UI as well?

Yes after rebooting the NAS and asking it to fetch data. I had to restart my ATVs to get the guide data there.

Might be unrelated but we got a new sub channel for my area yesterday - I wonder if that borked up the guide data somehow.

There are some issues going on with our guide provider today, so that’s probably why.

I see there’s one bug where the refresh icon doesn’t refresh the list of channels. Once you rebooted it refreshed that part, so then the guide download also worked. I’ll fix that bug.

Awesome you guys are the best!

Semi related - do I need to notify the guide data provider somehow about the new channel ? Nov 1st we started getting Channel 2.4 LAFF network, and our guide info is USA-OTA29455.

I have let our provider know.

Please tell me the exact name (callsign) of that channel as reported on the channel lineup on my.hdhomerun.com

It just says LAFF - it is a sub channel for WCBD if that helps

How long should it take for a new station to show up ?

This was added last week and should show up now. Try clicking the circle refresh icon on the DVR settings web page (under your HDHR).

Weird did the guide refresh - the new station doesn’t show up in the web guide at all, it shows up as unknown on my Apple TVs, but if I edit the guide on the DVR it shows up with the right logo and association.

Hmm. Try uncheck DVR checkbox, wait 30s and then check it again.

No change

Okay I see the problem. They added the channel and the logo, but no guide data is being returned for the channel. I will contact them again to ask for a fix.

Cool - thanks!
