Guide Errors - Need a Way to Manually Fix

Face the Nation in the Denver market is often split into two segments. Yesterday, Channels DVR showed such a split. This morning, the previously scheduled Sunday 9:30AM recording never happened. Zap2it show now shows a single segment scheduled later overnight and my Channels DVR local guide matches.

Having had this problem previously, I hedge my bets and always schedule the earlier CBS show with a extra 30 minutes padding after the scheduled end. The Guide was wrong today and my local CBS station did split the show. I did not miss it because of the 30 minute padding of the earlier show.

After editing the earlier show to save the Face the Nation segment and importing it, Channels DVR matched the show name but I cannot "Fix Incorrect Match" for the episode. Without a manual method to make corrections to the local database, this episode now appears as a Face the Nation episode with a December 31, 1969 airing date.

Because Channels DVR relies on Season and Episode for importing and also uses Gracenote as the only source, we're out of luck on shows that Gracenote doesn't have this.

Until they get Gracenote to fix this stuff, switch to another source for imports or allow us to edit the info, nothing much we can do.

Yes. Channels DVR users should be able to edit their local database. As a work-a-round, I imported the episode under a different name (unmatched local content) and then created a Library Collection for my show. This way, I can find it easily when I get time this week after the important Sunday stuff — football!

Great idea since you can hide the individual shows/episodes and surface them in a Collection.

The Devs have mentioned that this is on the roadmap. They intend to add it.
