Noticing incorrect guide information since installing the fix for the looping error. Today for example, at 7:00 PM CNN is showing a program about "unconscious bias", but the guide shows "Jake Tapper". Also, MSNBC is showing "On Assignment", but the guide shows "Dateline Extra". I tried deleting and recreating the guide database, but it didn't change these listings.
Did you also both restart your DVR server, as well as quitting and restarting your client?
Which channel numbers? Is this on your TVE channels or HDHR channels?
I just restarted it, guide still incorrect.
CNN and MSNBC. I'll keep an eye out for other channels as well.
These are TVE channels 6030 and 6050 respectively. The authorization is through Spectrum in Honolulu. I'm currently in California if that makes a difference.
At the moment, the CNN guide is correct (it was also correct for 8:00 PM when I first reported this), but MSNBC is showing a special "America in Crisis", but the guide indicates "Dateline Extra: The Girl with the Red Shows".
It’s possible if these specials were planned on short notice the guide might not reflect them (and will show what was originally planned in the time slot instead).
No doubt. In fact, when I reported this, TV Guide also had the same error on CNN, but had the correct info for MSNBC. I'll check Gracenote's next time I see this.
The guide info is incorrect for MSNBC (channel 6050) at 10:30 PM PST. It shows Dateline "Deadly Desire", but MSNBC is actually showing "American Crisis: Poverty and the Pandemic"
However, Gracenote's listing for Comcast cable in the Bay Area matches the Channels guide, as does every other guide source I tried, so it appears that MSNBC is not updating the guide data.
