I have a HDhomerun tuner and the local channels show up in the guide. Since I have trouble receiving FOX due to antenna issues with tall buildings I added Locast. All the channels for locast show up starting at 5900. On my computers the guide is correct and shows 5900 +, but on my Shield and FireTV the guide for Locast channels start at 5912 for Locast 5900 and the others in between 5912 are missing. I am running the latest Beta 1218, but this problem has been here for a couple of weeks.
Does it appear if you uncheck the HDHR on the Tuner settings tab?
Or reorder priority so Locast is first.
Yes I can change the priority and they show but then the network channels from the antenna disappear. 4.1 disappears but 4.2 is ok. 5.1 disappears but 5.2 is ok etc.
Thanks
The channels from Locast and HDHR are combined into one entry on the guide. They will be attempted in the priority order listed.
if I have a tuner (Locast) with numbers 5900 to 59+ then that should not affect the antenna channel numbers for HDHR from showing up and vice versa no matter what the tuner priority is. Example I am having trouble with receiving channel 4.1 (antenna) so I look for 5900 Locast channel and it is not there.
Thanks
As you see they are merged based on priority and duplicate channel content. When I was using OTA HDHomerun Quattro I was receiving > 100 channels. But I only wanted about 10. So I disabled all but 10 in the HDHomerun Menu so none of my Channels Apps would see them. Once I got LOCAST I could have just disabled the duplicate channels from the source I did not want them from but I am very happy with LOCAST so I simply unplugged the OTA HDHomerun and problem solved.
