Guide tab data time period very short

Hi. Excited to see the Guide tab!

I am getting guide data for each channel for 1 or 1.5 hours only which means I can only really see 1 or 2 programmes. Also data missing for some channels ( e.g. Channel 5 HD, True Movies, BBC News HD, My5).

I’m in the UK using a HDHomerun Connect set to Freeview London.

I noticed the same, I’m assuming it has to do with the guide data provider. I will play with it some more this evening.

What guide provider are you using? Is there a SiliconDust or Gracenote logo on the Settings tab?

Aha, looks like an issue with Gracenote backend. Will fix!

I also have a short time period of info on the guide. I think I get the data from SD (it has SDCopyright notice on settings page).

I did see a firmware update available on the settings page but installing that did not seem to help.

Forgot to mention that the guide covers about 3.5 to 4 hours.

I also just submitted my diagnostic log on the guide data.

One last note, guide data on iOS app cover only same short period for me.

SiliconDust offers 4 hours of guide data for free, so that is expected.

Any way to switch to Gracenote?

Switching providers won’t help, the app is limited to 4 hours of guide data for US customers. Only international DVB user can see 7-days of data, because the guide data is embedded in the video stream in other countries and can be downloaded quickly. Downside for them though is there are no guide images.

We plan to offer extended guide data within in our apps as part of the Channels DVR service when it launches.

Not sure what you mean… On Now shows Favorites, and there’s a favorites selector in the category list.

The issue with gracenote only showing 1h of data has been fixed in the latest beta. Please report new issues on a separate thread.
