What hardware should I run the DVR on to transcode 3-5 remote streams away from home simultaneously? Prefer Linux. Not open to jerky or otherwise less-than-perfect video. Can this be done without hardware transcoding? Which platforms will support hardware transcoding?
I’m using a Raspberry Pi 4 and it’s been fine for me for the last 3 weeks. Easy installation. Planning to cut the cord with my provider and have been testing Channels DVR with an IPTV service.
