HD Homerun Tuner Volume is louder

Has anyone noticed the volume increases dramatically when they switch channels from Pluto, Tubi, etc., to your HD Homerun tuner (OTA)? Is there a way to make automatic volume leveling on the HD Homerun tuner? I don't have this issue with any other streaming services.

Thanks in advance for your help

I see exactly the opposite. Probably depends completely on your client device and it's settings. Mine's an Nvidia Shield Pro.

I have to up the volume a good 20% when I switch to my HDHR.

Same here on both the Shield Pro and Onn 4K Pro. Need to increase the volume on the HDHR.

Ditto, OTA way lower than TVE equivalent.

Same here on firestick, and even SageTV HD300's.

For what we're trying to achieve here, it's a minor inconvenience for me.

OTA HD usually is 5.1 and TVE is Stereo ... so it is up to the device you are using to passthrough the audio ... The HDHomeRun app does digital passthrough I believe Channels DVR does not.

Is that why HDHR audio on AC 4 streams is so bad? I switched to Channels because I would get like ten .1 second dropouts per hour, and lots of other audio discontinuities moving from one speaker to another. I took a Mike and recorded and measured them and submitted recordings and complained. I took the same videos and imported them into Channels and audio is flawless.

The HDHR app would occasionally switch between hardware pass through and server decode (which is stereo only). Hardware pass through was much louder, and I found the HDHR app very annoying.
