So my external HDD was giving input/ouput errors. I was trying to pull the data off of it today when it gave up completely. There wasn't anything on it that can't be replaced as I move most of my recordings over to a different drive where I have plex set up, so it's just the most recent stuff that's been lost. But I wasn't able to copy my database or backups off the drive before it died. Since I run it in Raspberry Pi OS from an SD card the server itself is still up. Can I just plug in a new drive? Will that work. I was hoping to grab the database and the backups before it crashed completely but I just didn't get it. I'll be stopping by the store after work tomorrow to grab a new HDD. Should I stop the service in Raspberry Pi or leave it running until I do? I have paused all of my passes, so it won't freak out when it tries to record and doesn't have storage.
Yes just configure a new HDD location and it should save a new backup there

Great thanks. Luckily I can just re-record pretty much anything I lost.
