I am running a HDHomeRun Dual Tuner and Channels DVD server on MacMini. It works great however when I try to "Channel Surf" up and down the HDHomeRun channels if I go to fast I get the "All Tuners In Use" warning and have to wait a several seconds before the tuner is available again. Is there a workaround or setting I can adjust to prevent this from happening. I did configure the HDHomeRun via the m3u files and built my own m3u for the HDHR so that I could re-assign the channel numbers, but I am not seeing how that should affect it?
Yes this happens if you use M3U

When you use M3U the HDHR built in tuner allocation and sharing goes out the window. If you only have a 2 tuner using M3U really limits what you can do.

Is there an alternative option for HDHR other than using m3u and still be able to assign the channel numbers? I am guessing probably not?
Nope that's not possible. The positives of using HDHR via custom channel M3U is the ability to make your own channel numbers and take out the channels you don't want to view (along with any DX-ed signals). The negatives as stated above is that. Channel hopping will be tougher to do
