HDHomeRun Flex Duo not find the right channels on Cogeco Cable

Hi All,

I've just installed a HDhomerun Flex Duo and I am trying to set it up but when I go to scan channels all I get is this:

(16 channels that don't work)

I am a complete newbie to this so any help would be great

Cable is from Cogeco

thanks!

It's probably not paired correctly. I would call your cable company and ask them to check it out. Either that or maybe your signal is really now...

While the Dup can receive unencrypted cable, if the cable system does not properly mark the channels with the correct identifying information, the tuner does not know which channel is which.

You may have to manually tune each channel, note what is being broadcast on that channel, and then manually map the channels to guide within the Channels webUI.

This is not using a CableCARD; there is nothing to pair. Some cable companies transmit unencrypted ClearQAM, which even the non-CableCARD tuners can tune.

Additionally, you may want to check in with SiliconDust. They may be able to update their system and channel mappings based upon the channels' frequencies and program numbers. They have a sub-forum on their site specifically for Guide Issues.
