HDHomeRun Not Listed in Sources

I didn't see anything recent on this. The HDHomeRun (Extend) I've been using with Channels DVR Server for several years no longer shows up in my Sources list. I've tried Scan Network and manually adding it. I've tried rebooting the HDHomeRun, Synology NAS, and router, and changing network cables and connection ports. But Channels is still not finding it.

I noticed the last time Channels DVR recorded using my HDHomeRun was June 28 and there was a version update on June 29. Could that have something to do with it? I realize the Extend is an older model, so does it no longer work with Channels?

I appreciate any help with this issue.

Can you see & play it on the Hd Homerun app?

Try http://IP of the HDHomeRun. If you get a menu it's working.

The HDHomerun is working. I can play local channels on the HDHomerun phone and TV apps, and access it using the web browser interface. Channels DVR can't see it for some reason.

This sounds like a network or issue, possibly an issue with the way you have your Channels DVR container network setup. Lets start with some simple questions. What is the IP of your HDHomerun? What is the IP of your NAS?

Looks like I figured it out. I found this FAQ: Channels Support - HDHomeRun FAQ

I had the NAS and HDHomeRun plugged directly into my router. There were no problems with that configuration previously. I unplugged both devices from the router, plugged them into a switch, and plugged the switch into the router. That seems to have fixed the issue. Weird.

Glad you got it working. I've never understood that advice yet the Channels team clearly has seen this before. My HDHomerun is connected to my router and my server into a switch. It works just fine and I've had different routers and switches in this configuration. The router must be filtering something. By any chance was there a firmware update to your router?
