Hdhomerun + xfinity cable card, not finding new channels

So, have my hdhomerun up and running with normal cable channels, being seen by Channels.
After much todo xfinity added my pay channels to the cable card in the hdhomerun - hdhomerun itself lists HBO etc now when it didn't before.

But, Channels isn't showing those pay channels as available, not in the guide etc.
In Channels web page -> settings -> sources hdhomerun prime I tried "reload lineup" - it returns instantly and doesn't seem to change the lineup. I then "redownload guide" but still HBO etc aren't shown in the guide.

Appreciate any advice...

Premium Channels are not supported by Channels DVR... They are DRM so channels will not list them.

Oh, very sad. Tivo is allowed to show them but not software DVRs like Channels?

You can use the HDHomeRun app to view premium Channels on AndroidTV and Apple TV.

Their app doesn't support DRM on Apple TV either, unfortunately. Only iPhone/iPad

You may be able to use your xfinity account to authenticate to the primum channels apps on your streaming app. That works for many cable services.

Thanks Morris. I tried the tv everywhere method of adding xfinity. If found my basic channels but not my pay channels. Soething else I should try?

Premium channels aren't available via TVE

On your streaming device (Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, etc.) add HBOMax app, Showtime Anytime app, etc.

Hmm already have those on my Apple tv

You will have to watch on your Apple TV. Some premium channels do not allow unencrypted recording which is what Channels DVR creates.
