HDHR DVR scheduling no longer working in Channels beta?

I know that Channels is no longer officially supporting the HDHR DVR. That said, they’ve agreed to leave it in the beta for a while longer.

Question to anyone else who is still using the HDHR DVR - are you still able to schedule recordings in the Channels app? At some point, I was able to search for a show (in the ‘search’ menu) and then set it to record. Now the search returns nothing, no matter what I search for.

Do you have multiple HDHRs? I had this problem previously with the beta and switching to the other HDHR in the settings menu fixed the problem. There was also something you could do in the configuration of the HDHR via its web interface that helped I think but I can’t remember now. Try searching the old forum on the HDHR site as I think it was all in there.

I do have multiple HDHRs. I’ll try switching tuners and see if that helps. Thanks!

if your using a NAS and it lost power you need to reinstall the HDhomerun recording engine. Thats
what happened to me when we lost power last month.

Hrm no I’m using my iMac. It works inconsistently - works fine on some Apple TVs but not others. At least you all have confirmed that the functionality should still work. Thanks…

I did some testing and I can confirm that for me there is no change with the latest Channels App and the latest HDHomeRun DVR.

Sometimes happens after installing the latest beta. Best fix is accessing the HDHR device using your PC or laptop and checking it’s running, rescan all the channels, check the DVR install and hit “save” or “apply” then delete your current recordings and schedual new recordings in the HDHR view app. Should start running after that. Oh and power down everything first and power it all back up before doing this. Basically your re-syncing everything.
Sucks, but resolved it for me on a number of occasions after updating.

Now that HDHR DVR project supports deleting on the backend, will it work in the existing Channels DVR Beta App?

Sorry but the HDHR DVR integration has been discontinued and no new features will be added.
