Using CDVR to output HLS to my media server.
I have the HDHR Extend. The SD stations i'm fine with using the HDHR "mobile" profile with, but the 720p/1080i stations, I would love to have a little more control over. I wouldn't mind the "heavy" profile from HDHR except that it doesn't deinterlace.

A few questions...

Is there a query parameter available on the CDVR side to specify which HDHR Transcode Profile to use?

If so, would it be better to let CDVR handle all the transcoding or would using the "heavy" profile and just add "deinterlacer=hardware" to the query params?

Perhaps something like this?
channels/12.1/hls/master.m3u8?acodec=copy&vcodec=h264&abr=false&bitrate=10000&deinterlacer=hardware&transcoder=none

Use our transcoder and not the Extend. We’ve never supported its transcoding and have always suggested against its use.
