HDHR-US not working

I have an HDHR Quatro that works fine, but I also have an HDHR-US (original version) that I hooked to a different antenna and I can not get it to work with Channels DVR. The HDHR is working and I can view OTA stations using VLC. Both tuner inputs are connected to the same antenna.

I tried several older firmware revisions, currently on the latest, but I get the same problem every time. Here is a log file snippet:

Any suggestions?

Are you able to get it to work with the HDHR installed software?
Are you using the correct power adapter, and it appears to be working (lights on)?
Is ch23.3 a local channel that you get clearly with your other system?
Are you using a coax splitter to the antenna? As I recall those units had 2 coax inputs on the back, one for each tuner.

Did you ever have it working with Channels? I have a couple of the DUALs that I replaced with a Quatro several years ago when Silicon Dust offered their own livestream lineup for a short time. The Quatro was compatible with it while the DUALs were not. At that time it was a hardware limitation as opposed to a firmware limitation. I wonder if their ability to function with Channels is related to that lack in the hardware - whatever it is.

Channels does support these tuners. There could be a network issue preventing the video stream from reaching the dvr. These older models use UDP iirc

It works perfectly with the HDHR software. Both tuners are connected to the same antenna with a splitter, and ch23.3 is a local OTA channel that comes in fine. I can watch it with VLC.

What are you putting into VLC to watch there?

Can you try VLC on the same machine where the dvr is running?

Or try the channels app without tuner sharing so it connects to your tuner directly

This HDHR does only support the older UDP tuning method, not the newer style. I was using VLC but kicking it off from hdhomerun_setup where you can select the tuner and the channel, and it starts playback in VLC. Other posts suggested that the HDHD-US would work which is why I was trying to use it.

I used to run my dvr on a Windows machine, so I tried it there and the HDHR works fine, so there is something that my Unraid docker instance doesn't like.

Everything is on the same network switch, same subnet, and Setup shows the correct IP address of the HDHR so I really don't think it's a problem with my network.

You may need -net=host on docker

That did the trick. Thanks!
