Help improve stream quality?

I have the latest build 3.0.3 on my Apple TV and I noticed the stream quality is a bit worser than when playing it over the iOS channels App. What I mean by worse it you can see the image as being “fuzzy” or not as crisp in the definition. I’ve noticed this on multiple channels, Local & Cable.
I’m wondering if there are known steps to help improve the stream

My Cable Provider is Verizon Fios (Long Island NY Area)

I have Three HDHR Primes, all at the latest Firmware 20170930
there almost identical in these values

OOB Frequency 75.250 MHz
OOB Lock 2.048 Mbps
Signal Strength 100% (5.8 dBmV)
Signal Quality 100% (38.9 dB)

I have the latest version of the ATV app 3.0.3 as well as the iOS app, also the latest build for the DVR package on my Synology NAS.

besides that picture quality everything has been great!. Im so glad I found the HDHR Prime with this App.

Does the quality change if you go to the Settings tab and turn off Tuner Sharing

Turning Tuner Sharing On/Off did not seem to make a difference in stream quality.

When you’re watching TV on the ATV, does the DVR’s Log tab show any messages?

I see some “quality” differences, but I think it’s just blown up more (i.e. my iPad is only 10.5" but my TV is 65"). I’d expecting to see the issues (like more blocking in blacks is where it really shows) in the picture just due to the size, but it’s probably still the exact same picture.

Currently Watching MSNBC Channel 603 this is what shows up in the Log.

Your log looks normal. The video is coming straight from the HDHR and being displayed on screen, so it should be the best possible quality (depending on what your cable provider is sending you).

Are you using the new 4K ATV?

You could try installing the free app InstaTV to compare the quality.

No, I’m using the 4th Gen 32gb Apple TV, Alright I will try that now.

I installed the InstaTV app and see the same quality in stream, I guess this is just the way it is.

Maybe you have some motion setting enabled on your TV?
