Help w/ TVE when using Synology NAS & ATV

I have been searching for help setting up Channels with DVR the past 5 days straight with limited success. The key for me is having TVE functionality in an easy to use guide instead of downloading a million of apps. I have DS218+, HDHomerunFlex, ATV4K, and YTTV login access.

I have setup the NAS with a Lets Encrypt Certificate. Channels is loaded and the HDHomerun works fine via the network and is visible on my ATV. I am stuck with the TVE login. The trouble shooting portion is all green except a yellow with the message of: DNS- Using public DNS resolver from "Cloudflare, Inc." can cause problems with TV Everywhere.

I confirmed that I am able to log into my TVE ABC, NBS, etc channels regardless of this yellow warning on my computer and ATV.

When I try to authorize by adding the TVE source on the config page, I get consitently this message:

The browser app may not be secured.

I get this message in either chrome or edge. When I start channels via my NAS, the chrome site gives me this warning:

You are seeing this warning because this site does not support HTTPS. Learn more

Any ideas here? I have search the forum and not real answers. I have tried some of the tricks of opening in another window the NBC TVE channel website and etc. Also, I am using the latest software pre-release of channels from the 25th of July.

Any other ideas before I cancel my trial???

When you access the Channels DVR web UI it's done with http, not https
Ignore any warning from your browser and continue

Although you installed a Lets Encrypt cert on the NAS, Channels DVR doesn't use it.

The ONLY time the Channels DVR web UI will force an https connection is when toggling the Experimental Local Networks via TV Everywhere option.

Thanks for the information. I was focused on the "secure" portion since that was the error shown by YTTV when logging into the TVE.

How does everyone else do it? I can open another tab when and login through the YTTV Syncor system to authorize TVE without any issues. I understand the feature is in BETA, but others don't seem to have any issues. Everything is up to date on my Chrome and Edge. I am assuming that there is no other way to manually do the login without the Channels app doing it in the background automatically.

I also have a 218+, a flex, and multiple apple tvs. I simply open the server ui from my chrome browser and add a source to ger TVE and it then scans to add the available stations. I do not use the Lets Encrypt Certificate and do not even know what that is. I also use a Pi Hole as my DNS without any problems. I also never access channels outside of my house (no need to). It would seem to me the Lets Encrypt is the problem.

YTTV will frequently block logins from headless chrome.
