Help with pixalation

Hi, I'm new and trying Channels DVR which I really like. I have an HDHomerun cable card HDHR3-CC. I went out and bought for my Samsung 55 inch 3D model tv the fire stick 4k. I then installed Channel DVR. It started great then pixilated in HD channels especially channel 4 NBC. Ok did some reading here and other google sites. I learned to check my quality on my HDHomeRun. My quality was coming in at 74%. Frustrated I moved a heavy marble fireplace stand. I changed the coaxial cable and put a splitter from the mainline into my cable box(yes still have a cable box) and HDHomerun. Bingo my quality became 100%. I was so so happy then I saw a small freeze on channel 4 again. Then it froze. After that, I shut off the tv. Can someone please help me and give me ideas about how to fix this since I really like the way channels dvr work. I want to add that I have plex and it has no problems at all. Thanks all.

In the fire Tv settings in Channels, do you have tuner sharing enabled? If not, try enabling it and see if the behavior changes.

Thank you for replying, i will try to figure that out unless you can tell me step by step

i found it and now trying it, will update. Hope it works and thank you very much.

So far I haven't seen glitches, thank you.

I'm back, it happened again on channel 3 MeTv, all running perfectly since 4:30 am, then while watching a tv show, it pixilated for about 5 seconds, stopped, then resumed. What else can I do or will this always happen.

Now that tuner sharing is on, look in the DVR web interface logs, and see if any errors were logged by the server. The errors will hopefully help narrow down the issue.

how can i send logs

Do you know how to access the DVR web console?

yes figured out, when i highlight logs its too big to show here, am i superpose to do it in parts? Thanks again

Note the time of the issue and look in the log for errors at the same time. If you see errors feel free to snip them out and share here.

can someone help please

The buffer full errors usually mean that the hard drive is not able to keep up with the video stream. Could be your CPU also. These are referred to as disk starvation or CPU starvation. What kind of system is the server installed on? The more details the better.

specs hope this helps and thank you again, also i have in background running, plex, bitdefender antivirus plus which i added channels to exception

A couple of things you could try...

Is the FireTV connected wired or wireless? If wireless, tried wired if possible. Of course, you want the server hardwired no matter what.

It looks like you have multiple hard drives. Move the recording drive to one of the other drives and see if the issue persists.

i bought the ethernet adapter to not use wireless, but i also have verizon FIOS 1GB speed. Yes on harddrives, i will move it to a hard drive not used alot since its on the same hard drive with plex. AGAIN THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. Nice that people can help.
