I have deleted Homerun DVR from my system, but the icon still shows in my menu bar. It doesn't respond to the usual methods of removing an icon from the menu bar. I really, really, really do NOT want that icon to remain. How can I get rid of it?
Are you talking about HDHR DVR or Channels DVR? Can you post a screenshot?
To uninstall Channels DVR, download the installer from our website and select uninstall after running it.
I have uninstalled Channels DVR on my imac. but the icon remains in my menu bar. I cannot remove it using any of the accepted and usual methods. It simply stays there. I hate it there because my experience with Channels DVR was not at all good.
Did you run the installer from our website and select the uninstall option?
You can try opening Terminal.app and run these two commands:
launchctl remove com.getchannels.dvr
rm ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.getchannels.dvr.plist
A screenshot would be helpful, because according to our records you have never tried Channels DVR under this account.
What would be the command to run if I want to get the the menu bar icon to re-appear? My Channels DVR works fine, but the icon disappeared months ago.
