Hey guys....have a few hopefully quick questions:

  1. I have some recordings, when viewed through the Web player..they indicate HD 1080i, but the actual recording is only 720. This is mostly when recording anything from CW via Locast. Is the HD 1080i just a reflection of what Gracenote indicates the episode is, and not the actual resolution of the recording ??.

  2. I've noticed the Recording directory is 28 GB - should it be that large ??

  3. I get concerned from time to time about my DVR crashing and losing all recordings. Is it ok to just add an additional drive, equivalent or larger than my recording drive and add a replication job to just mirror everything from one drive to another or do I need to stop any Channel services/process first before I start the mirror process ??.

Correct.

Seems normal. For OTA 1h recording will be 8GB or more.

Sure you can mirror. You don't need to do anything with the service first.
