How does channels handle a full disk?

Title says it. How does channels behave when the disk fills up? Does it just stop recording until the disk is cleared? Error message?

I'm hoping to find out without having to fill the disk up to see for myself

It barfs will not record.

expand on 'barfs'.. crashes and errors or just fails to record new episodes?

Will not record no place to put the new recordings.

No notifications though? I can handle that through linux utilities but hoping there is some user-facing notification.

Maybe in the log but no notifications on the Clients.
