How does it work when you have DVR installed

Could not find the details anywhere.

When running a DVR, does the Apple TV get it’s feed from the HD homerun directly for live tv, or does the DVR record the signal then stream that to the Apple TV

Either way; it is an adjustable option

What’s the option, is that the share tuner option?

Yes, “tuner sharing” will make all streams go through the dvr first. Otherwise, each ATV gets a stream direct from the HDHR
