How much does Channels buffer in ATV?

I will be staying for several months in NY while my home is in AZ. I plan to keep Channels/Homerun running and bring an AppleTV with me to NY and access Channels from there. Both my house and the place I will stay have rather robust bandwidth.

So, I don’t mind the initial wait for the initial buffering but wondering about the skipping of commercials, etc. later How much does Channels add in the buffer of the video so that I can skip forward quickly? Does it buffer in the entire show? Only the first 10 minutes or so? Does my question make sense?

The player buffers up to a minute and a half ahead in remote playback mode. The buffer is in RAM so it is not unlimited.

Okay, so if the commercials are 5 minutes long, there will be a potential delay when I double right tap, yes?

Yes, but if your bandwidth is good it should be very fast. You can also control the quality/bitrate for remote streaming in the app.
