I love using the new iCal integration for recordings. That said, is there a way to force iOS to update/refresh this calendar more often? I’ve tried changing the fetch settings in iOS from automatic to every 15 minutes but haven’t noticed any difference…
To refresh your calendars: Open the Calendar app. Tap the Calendars tab. Swipe down on the list to refresh your events.
I should’ve been more clear. I’m looking for a way to automatically refresh this calendar so that it reflects the most current recordings. I’ve noticed that when my iOS devices are plugged into power, they seem to refresh much more often, perhaps this is simply a battery savings issue.
I’m not sure what to say here, it’s up to your calendar app. Every time the calendar url is loaded, it’s always the most recent data.
There’s nothing you need to do to make the calendar feed up to date or refreshed.
As for refresh times on calendar apps, I can’t be of much help.
I’m pretty sure the calendar app on iOS relies on push to be updated. You add an item on one client, and the other clients are told to update.
So when you add a shared calendar via a url, all it can do is poll to check for updates. And yeah, iOS is going to scale that back to save battery, especially when 90% of updates happen over push.
