How To Run Channels Client When Internet Connect Down

Over the past two months, we've lost our Cox internet service at least once every week or two. I use Fire TV 4K sticks or Fire TV Cubes on our TV's, and the Channels, Plex, Netflix, Prime Video, Paramount+ apps to view video from each. I understand that without the Internet, I lose access to Netflix, Prime Video, Paramount+ apps, and the ability to watch TVE video via Channels.

My Channels DVR and Plex system both have access to my HDHomeRun devices and are able to record OTA video. Most of the time when I lose the Internet, the Fire TV devices don't work. My question is, without using a computer, is there a way to watch any of the recorded video from my Channels & Plex systems on my TV's?

Using Channels without internet is no problem. You can use your local tuners, and access recorded content without issue.

I've run into this issue before, but it's an Amazon issue, not a Channels issue. I have not had issues with other client devices, so you may want to augment your home with something other than Fire TV devices, so your clients can work without internet.

Here is how to run an app on Amazon devices that have wifi, but not internet:

When your Firestick is offline, you won’t be able to launch apps from the home screen. You’ll instead be met with a message saying that your “Home Screen is Currently Unavailable.” To get to your apps without the home screen: Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Installed Applications. Select the app you want to use. Click Launch Application.

Good find, thanks.
I recently lost TV and Internet from kox for part of a day,
the ONN devices I use for channels COULD play my HDHR local channels.
I did not try my Firesticks, but this is good to know.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. I forgot about going to "Settings -> Applications -> Manage Installed Applications, selecting the app I want to use, and launching the app". I'll have to remember this next time Cox goes out, which based on their performance over the past wo months, will probably happen within the next week or so.
