How to show a recording on my TV?

I have created a guide listing my Xfinity channels. I have successfully created a recording of a show. Now how do I get the recording to play on my TV? Do I need a streaming device like ROKU? That's what I have, but maybe I need some other?

There is no Roku client. Apple TV is the favored device. I'm an Android/Google TV guy myself. Fire TV is the loser option.

The older FireTV devices have worked fine for me and are of course a fraction the cost of the Apple hardware. You can't use the newer FireTV devices with Amazon's VEGA OS.

I have Apple TV 4K (1st and 3rd Gen) and FireStick 4K Max (Gen1 and Gen2) devices to run the CDVR client. They all work great.

Channels is a streaming device optimized experienced. You’ll need to get one.

Everything you saw on the website is running from a streaming device.

I thank those who responded to my concern. I'm going slow on this because I am so limited in trying to understand our new technology. 84 years old...I missed a lot! My daughter showed me how to "cast" my iPhone to my Samsung TV. For now I'm getting my recording on to my TV and I'm happy. From reading about Apple TV I can see, however, that I will be lacking certain features. Thanks so much to this community!
