If you are considering a Beelink mini for your CDVR server, you might want to try this.
Includes Win 11-S.
Always read the reviews, they say "slow".
But for a CDVR server it might be just right after loading Chrome on it.
I would still suggest a Beelink mini PC over a Laptop, especially running Windows, as an always on server on a laptop can be very complicated to setup to run at all times.
Windows 11S is also problematic, laptop or not, as it only allows Microsoft Store installs, as i understand it.
There is no charge to switch out of S mode.
To turn off Windows 11 S mode on an HP laptop, open Settings > System > Activation, then find the "Switch to Windows 11 Home/Pro" section and click "Go to the Store"; on the Microsoft Store page that appears, select "Get" to switch out of S mode.
Key points to remember:
- Access settings: Go to Settings on your HP laptop.
· · Navigate to activation: Within settings, go to "System" then "Activation".
· · Switch out of S mode: Find the "Switch to Windows 11 Home/Pro" option and click "Go to the Store".
· · Confirm in Microsoft Store: On the Microsoft Store page, click "Get" to initiate the switch.

Eh...I would probably use this as my daily pc (and maybe an occasional Fileflows node) instead of a server PC. Windows 11 is trash so that OS would be un-installed first either way

My aunt has a laptop like this, that came with Windows 11-S. And, she had a devil of a time getting it out of S mode. It got stuck changing modes or something and took days to un-wrangle it.
She was told u have to buy a license for full Windows as well by the tech support she called, i think it was for Asus brand laptop.
Just a heads up that these limited functionality devices are cheap for a reason.
...Cheap for a reason
Yes, for sure, just info, buyer beware!!
