Hey all, I found a plan on Hulu where I can sign up for live tv and avoid using their OnDemand service. I know this has been asked several times but I couldn't find anything recent. Can someone tell me if all the locals work through TVE with Hulu + Live TV? If it matters with what's available I live in Scottsdale, AZ.
We moved to a new house and unfortunately, we're blocked by mountains from getting OTA channels. I'm regretting moving a bit.
I called and spoke to Hulu and they told me I should have access to all the local channels with Hulu Live TV. I did notice that all the major networks give Hulu as a login option. Do I need to check the experiment local channels box at the bottom to get them in Channels?
Yes. Just because they appear in Hulu Live TV doesn't mean you have TVE access. The only way to check is by logging in with your credentials on each site.
Plus if it doesn't work out. You can just cancel the service. One nice thing about not having contracts. In my area I do get all 4 major networks. So you have a good chance most likely. But all you can do is try.
Do you know if YouTube TV or Hulu has the better TVE support? Especially for locals.
For me Hulu did as they had all 4. Youtube I had 3 out of the 4 with one of them dropping out due to issues the last two months I had it. I believe it was an issue with the network screwing around with their location detection to give you the local station only. So then only 2 out of 4 worked. This is true for both Hulu and Youtube.... Fox only gives me primetime hours. That means I could only use it between 6 to 10 pm. The rest of the time the guide shows off air. I think weekends is like 11 am to 10 pm or something like that. But as stated earlier. Your mileage may very.
