My question is that have Hulu live and it says can watch 2 shows same time. If I’m using. Channels through tve does it one of the available out of the 2. Wondering if I have to upgrade unlimited screens?
Typically, no. TVE streams do not count against the concurrent limit.
Short answer: with TV Everywhere, you don't have any of the limitations that Hulu has on your account. You don't need to upgrade to unlimited screens with Hulu, TVE is "unlimited" as long as your internet plan has enough bandwidth for multiple streams.
Longer answer...
When you use Hulu Live TV directly, it connects to Hulu's servers and they can easily put restrictions on your account. They have full control of your Hulu account.
With TV Everywhere, it's different: your Hulu credentials can be used to log in to individual channels/networks websites where they provide live TV of their own channels. They just need to confirm that you are a legitimate subscriber of the channel and they know this when you sign in with your Hulu credentials.
Since you just connect to websites, you don't get the restrictions that Hulu has on your account.
You can connect to multiple websites at once and Channels DVR takes advantage of this to view and/or record multiple channels at once.
I've mentioned it in another post or two before but I remember one time seeing my Channels DVR server was recording 11 different TVE channels at the same time and I'm sure that's not a record.
The only limitations you have with TVE are from your internet connection and your server hardware.
