Hulu Login Failure

I know there are A LOT of posts on hulu but none of them quite seemed like what I am going through. I just can't login. It is not trying to give me a captcha or anything. I have cleared all of the devices out of my device list. I am running channels from a synology nas with Docker and I just dont know why I can't login. its so frustrating I only have HUlu for 7 days to try out and I can't try it out lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know it can't be this easy ... but it sure seems like you might need to verify your password and try it again.

I would welcome easy with open arms but for the sake of possibility how would I do that? I log directly into Hulu just fine...is there something I need to turn on or off?

If you've already tested the password on Hulu's website directly and it works, and you're using the same one, it's probably something else. Heaven knows the hoops Hulu makes an honest subscriber jump through just to use the paid service.

I experience this occasionally with Hulu. It is extremely frustrating. Hulu gets in a funk where it doesn’t recognize the login and password and reports back that the password is incorrect. It is even like this on some machines when trying to login directly to Hulu website. I once had to call Hulu support and report that I was getting wrong password when in fact it was correct. They did something on their end and had me try again and sure enough it logged right in with channels. 2 weeks later it did it again. I was busy and couldn’t fiddle with it so I just hit update password in the channels setup twice and at some point within 24 hours it authenticated the channels. If you are trying to add Hulu as a source for the first time I don’t know if update the password is an option yet. Doesn’t really make sense. I would start with updating password at least twice in a row with your current password each time. If not it may take a phone call and tell them you can’t login into your account as it’s telling you wrong password when it’s not. Good luck!

Couldn't hurt to try resetting or changing the password at Hulu and try again with the new one.
A couple articles from the HELP site

https://help.hulu.com/article/hulu-cant-login

https://help.hulu.com/article/hulu-manage-devices
To log out of all computers:

  1. Go to your Account page and log in if prompted
  2. Look for the Your Account section. Under Privacy and Settings, select Protect Your Account
  3. On the next pop-up screen, click Log Out Of All Computers to log out all web browsers except the one that you’re currently using

Just reset my password TWICE (once with Hulu's help) and I STILL get the same error in channels :rage:

Ive tried multiple browsers and clearing my cookies and even private windows

Since I don't use it I'm not sure, but have you tried logging in from home and setting it as your home network?

Might also help to do this FIRST while you're logged in there.

May sound like a dumb question, but you did signup for Hulu + Live TV, right?
https://www.hulu.com/signup/go/live-only

hahhaa not you good...gotta cover all bases...yes I did sign up for it...I specifically signed up for it to see how it would work with channels...

Live TV Only?
https://www.hulu.com/signup/go/live-only
I saw a note here that Hulu + Live TV does not have a free trial period.
https://help.hulu.com/article/hulu-free-trials
*Please note that free trials are not available for Hulu + Live TV now with Disney+ and ESPN+.

On a computer are you able to login and watch with Hulu credentials?
https://go.discovery.com/live-now
My guess is not and that it will say password incorrect

this logged in perfectly fine

support gave me a trial for the live tv bundle since I was already a hulu subscriber

Run the troubleshooting on the server. It’s under support. Does it show anything in red? Chrome version??

TV Everywhere
Chrome version is out of date: 89.0.4389.114

Remote Access
Could not connect to a5db24797623.u.channelsdvr.net. Check if the port is mapped.

updated chrome and reran and got yellow warning but no red other than the remote access again

DNS
Using public DNS resolver from "Cloudflare, Inc." can cause problems with TV Everywhere

still not able to add Hulu though

No way you should be getting that if you're using the latest :tve docker image.
