Hurricane Idalia + Channels DVR

Huricane Idalia may of taken out power. But as the bible says "Fear Not". . . @ERIC made a offline tv streaming software. Oh I guess @maddox and @tmm1 might of helped too.

I got my genetator running. 3 APC UPS backups plugged into my generator. My neighbor is sitting in the dark. I have lights, 1 window AC running, all my DVR recordings. I am petfectly content. And a bottle of Makers Mark Whiskey.

Friends of mine who think I am weird. Why dont you just stream everything. This is why I dont stream everything. What happens when WiFi goes down. So to all my friends bored sitting in the dark, go suck an egg. Lol.

I love Channels DVR

This is totally amazing! And this is why ATSC 3.0 is trash. Because with ATSC 1.0 you are still able to watch the weather in emergencies like this. Love it!

Maybe put it on a platform so it doesn't float...Lol...

I used to work for the cable company back in the day here in southeast va. We had a major power outage after a hurricane. They sent trucks out with generators to provide power to the cable plant. There were about 200 technicans baby sitting generators in neighborhoods to provide servcies (mainly landline telephone) for our customers. We had a bunch of generators stolen (while running) of the back of the truck while the tech was sitting in the cab. They were so fast the tech didnt see them most of the time lol. The generator would quit and they got out thinking they needed to fill it with gas only to find it was gone lol.
