Watching 1080i MPEG2 recordings on my Shield TV to my 1080p tv results in what appears to be de-interlacing issues ("micro stutters") when using Hardware decoding. Switching to Hybrid decoding seems to avoid these issues. Is this to be expected? Is there any disadvantage to using Hybrid decoding on the Shield? Somewhat related, on my Pixel 3a I also need to use Hybrid decoding or I get just audio and no video.
