I'm at a friends house and want to access my Channels DVR

I do it from my work PC all the time, but I can't seem to find instructions for doing it from another remote PC.

That's what I did, but they're on a university network that is recovering from a massive DDOS attack, and eventually everything is working through their network except TiVo and Channels DVR. Email is finally working, Roku is working, but no authentication seems to be working in their place for TiVo Apps and Channels DVR.

Have you tried tailscale?
It's now built into the DVR and is builtin testflight for iOS/tvOS, but can be installed on most clients.
I was able to access all four of my Channels DVR servers using it from an iPhone, Although not all 4 at the same time, I had to connect to them one at a time using their tailnet IP.
