Import to Recordings

I apologize if this has been covered already. I have read several threads that have to do with importing to the library which I understand but I haven't found a definitive answer to the question: Can you import content in such a way that it shows up in the "Recordings" section of the app?".

I have content coming in from various places, which I import. But it only shows up in the Library which is completely lost to most of my users. My users pretty much stay in the guide and recordings sections. I get why you wouldn't want to import all your old achieve recordings into Recordings. That would make a real mess. But I am hoping there is a way to do so with certain content.

Unless your users are only viewing recent recordings, you may want to direct them to the Library; the Recordings view is not exhaustive. (My Apple TV will only display the last 4 weeks.)

Yeah. My users are stubborn and unteachable :slightly_smiling_face: The content I have in mind is episodic (mostly YouTube stuff) and something I would expect to delete when finished watching. It makes more sense that it would be in recordings, but since it can’t, I will cope.

Totally agree though that the Library is for long term archive type content. Just seems there should be some way to bring in other short term content in a context that makes sense to the end user. As it stands, there’s a bunch of stuff that would never be found if I weren’t there to hold the remote. But I’m just one user who is admittedly always pushing the limits.
