Is there a way to have channels generate thumbnails for imported TV episodes like it does for DVR recorded TV episodes?
Right now, for imported shows, I'm seeing the series art (or season art) for every episode in the show view and would like to see thumbnails.
Channels generates thumbnails from everything the same at, by sampling the video file to grab a frame from it.
If you’re not seeing a thumbnail, and it is falling back to the series art, it is having an issue reading the video file.
Have you played these video files to see if they even play?

Ok I see them now, the thumbnails are showing. The drive mount was temporarily offline when I noticed the thumbnail issue. So does that mean the thumbnails aren't cached in channels, but are generated dynamically when the show view is loaded?
The thumbnails are in the Images directory next to your recordings (Database, Images, Imports, Logs, Movies, Streaming, TV).
They look like preview-297.jpg, where 297 is the file id of the recording or import.
They’re generated on demand. The next time you’re in a view that requests them, they’ll be generated. After that they’re cached to disk.
