The Guide defaults to the cursor being on a column that is a list of all of the channels you receive.
If you move to the right, you are on the currently airing show for that channel. Swiping right further will advance into the future.
If you move to the left of where you originally landed, there is a list of filters that default to including All Channels, HD Channels, Favorites, Movies and others.
If you select the channel (where you originally landed), you move to a list of a 5x2 grid of upcoming shows on that channel.
