Incorrect Guide Data

The iOS guide shows more detail on a few channels than the Apple TV. For example, on the TV grid some channels have a single “Untitled” listing for the current hour with no upcoming shows listed to the right; while the same view on iOS shows the name of the current show with subsequent shows listed as well. I’m in the US (Kansas).

Any ideas?

The ATV data comes from your DVR. On the web admin, click on the pencil icon next to your guide provider setting and you can fix any channels in there.

How do we report an incorrect station ? One of the local sub channels is reported as being a Comet affiliate when it isn’t.

If you give me the channel number and your guide code I can report it to our provider.

Aman,

It appears the only way to edit the channel data is by selecting a channel from a dropdown, and the correct channels are not listed in the dropdown. Am I missing something?

If channels are not listed, it means our provider does not have data for them. If you give me a list of channels and your guide code I can report it to see what they can do about it.

Thanks Aman. Although I’m still curious about why the data is available on iOS devices but not on the ATV…

iOS uses data from SiliconDust, and they have their own guide mapping database.
