Incorrect guide on Apple TV, Correct on iOS

I have a channel (50 in Chicago) that is both CW and MyNetworkTV. It shows up as CW on my iPhone and iPad, which is preferred, but not Apple TV (MNT). I also have a new subchannel (48.3) that doesn’t have guide info on the Apple TV but does on my iOS devices. I’ve tried switching the provider in the Apple TV app but it hasn’t resulted in anything changing. Is there something I can do to get the guide correct on my Apple TV?

The DVR uses a different guide database. What is the guide lineup code listed in the DVR below your HDHR?

USA-OTA53402

I had previously tried deleting and resetting this and it didn’t change anything.

On the latest version of the DVR you should be able to edit the guide mapping and fix this. Let me know if it works for you.

Yup. I can now map that guide data correctly. Thank you. Anything on the road map like Windows Media Center’s ability to edit sources for a channel? Instead of mapping the guide to the simulcast channel, I could add the simulcast channel as a source to the main channel. You guys have been doing great work on this app. It keeps getting better and better.

Can you elaborate on how this would work? Do both channels show up on the guide?

Though not sure if this is what @tbest1797 means… but in situations where a channel may be showing as 2.1 (on the extend), 702 on the primes and in some cases XXX as clearqam or in the areas that are doing a regrouping as 1902 on the as well for the same channel, it may be nice to have it known simply as “2.1” or “702” in the guide showing once. Previously it was not possible to map guide to the 1902 or clearqam version so it would not have been used for recording if a tuner was available. That should no longer be an issue anymore.

Personally as long as I can choose to prioritize the tuner (which channel/tuner combo to use first) [personally I prefer favorites, extend , clearqam, prime; but others have strong valid reasons for a different order of selection] if the same show is available on all options then the tuner priority makes a difference…

My guess is that the merging a-la-WMC would also be complicated if you add the current (little known, but very useful) ability in channels to have tuners with different sources in the mix… (OTA antenna pointing direction A/ OTA antenna pointing Direction B/ ClearQAM from Provider A/ Cable from Provider A, Cable from Provider B) and all automagically work together with a unified guide and interface…
