Incorrect Playback @24hz

I have a recording that is playing back at @24hz when the source is 60hz. The ATV is set to 4k/60hz with match content enabled, I've tried Channels with match content enabled and disabled. Diagnostics uploaded by user DLeslie.

Do I need to submit the recording or the details of the file to determine why it's trigger the ATV to switch to 24hz?

It appears the beginning of the recording is being reported as 24fps:

2024-10-20 20:34:40.285 [u=78.5MB f=2019.5MB] [0.64s] [cplayer] info: (+) Video --vid=1 (h264 1280x720 24.000fps)
2024-10-20 20:34:40.286 [u=78.5MB f=2019.5MB] [0.64s] [cplayer] info: (+) Audio --aid=1 (aac 2ch 48000Hz 127kbps)

The recording is of a football game and I know the game is 60hz, does ESPN TVE do 24hz commercials that could trigger this or is it a bug?

It could totally be that it started to record during a 24hz TVE commercial and that would screw things up. We'll have to think about how to handle a situation like this...

What would be the best way to determine if that is the case? If I resume playback during the middle of the game will it still default to 24hz as the advertised framerate?

I believe even if you start in the middle, it will still default to 24hz because the player reads the beginning of the file to determine things like FPS.

What does the "match content" option inside the Channels app do differently than the system wide option. If I have it enabled system wide but turned off within Channels I still get the unwanted switch to 24hz on some sports recordings (presumedly bc of a 24hz commercial).
