Installing Channels DVR SERVER on MAC

Good Morning - I just discovered this and joined yesterday. I am trying to get this installed on my MAC MINI. It errors out when I say don't allow the sleep feature. There doesn't seem to be any specific install instructions. Is anyone familiar with this?

Please post the exact error message

During the install process, I choose NO to Enable Wake from Sleep. Then I get the error below.
ERROR] exit status 1
tee: /Users/scotthutchison-roberts/Library/LaunchAgents/com.getchannels.dvr.plist: Permission denied

Open Terminal.app and paste this command:

sudo chown $(id -u) /Users/scotthutchison-roberts/Library/LaunchAgents/

It will ask for a password and fix the permissions on that directory

Do I need to uninstall it..then run that..then re-install?

No just run that and then run the installer again

Okay. I got it to work. I just tested recordings on a folder on my desktop. Now I am trying to install an external hard drive to the the primary storage for all dvr items. It doesn't seem to want to let me change the primary storage, only allowing me to add a secondary. Can you confirm how I can remove the original path on my desktop and set the one and only path to the new external hard drive that is connected now? I appreciate all of your help!

Uncheck the dvr checkbox on the setting page

Got it. It worked. I do have another question. How Can I watch my channels and my DVR items when I am not at home? I click on connect, then select away from home. It required me to log in, which I did. I get an error that says "remote access is enabled, but we can not reach your server. Please ensure that port 8089 has been properly forwarded from your router to the IP address of the computer you installed Channels DVR on".

Is there an easy way to do that?
