Interested in trying Channels but not clear on cost

I’m test driving DVR software and would like to try out Channels. I understand that the DVR service is $8/month with the first month free. But I am less clear on the client app.

I have a Mecool M8S Pro+ and two Amazon Firesticks as clients for now. Will I have to purchase the app for each client or is the license shared in some way?

Any options for running the client on a Raspberry Pi 3?

Any other suggestions on client hardware that uses, or can be made to work with, a traditional remote with a number pad and channel up/down buttons, etc? Wired networking preferred but I do have solid 802.11AC coverage throughout my house.

I’m looking to keep the client cost as low as possible since I’ll need 6 of them once I settle on a DVR package.

Thanks.

At the moment you would need to purchase separately on Amazon and Google stores. We know this is not ideal and are working to find a better solution.

We only have clients available for Apple TV, iPhone/iPad, Android TV and Fire TV.

You’ll have to make separate purchases for the Android and Fire TV devices, but a single purchase is shared across like devices linked to the same account. So, right now, you’re looking at $50 for client apps.

Oh, and on Android: It has to be Android TV, not the Android mobile OS.
